Menstrual Support

We engage in monthly menstrual product drop-offs to select organizations around the DMV area who serve communities, families, and individuals that are in tight financial situations yet still need to acquire period products.

Where Do Our Menstrual Products Go?

We support our partner organizations with regular menstrual product donations according to the needs of the communities they serve. These are some of the amazing organizations that we are currently working with!

Menstrual Relief Program Process

Project Pink Tax’s Menstrual Relief Program exists to make menstrual products reliably accessible to people who need them most. We work closely with community organizations to understand the populations they serve and provide ongoing support that reflects real, on-the-ground needs. By prioritizing long-term partnerships over one-time donations, our program helps ensure that menstrual products are available consistently, without stigma or barriers. Through this work, we aim to support not only physical health, but also dignity, confidence, and the ability to fully participate in daily life.

1) Partner Onboarding

Partner organizations are onboarded through a collaborative call focused on learning about the communities they serve, their existing programs, and their specific menstrual product needs. This conversation allows us to build thoughtful, responsive partnerships grounded in understanding rather than assumptions.

2) Monthly Support

We ship menstrual products to our partners on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, depending on each organization’s needs. Through ongoing communication, we adjust shipment timing and quantities to ensure partners have reliable, consistent support over time.

3) Student Empowerment

Our student chapters collect menstrual products and, when possible, deliver these donations directly to partner organizations through in-person drop-offs. This hands-on involvement empowers students and helps them build meaningful connections with the communities we serve.
